Visitors to Mammoth Cave sometimes go away without learning of the colorful history of the area. It is common talk that Jesse James, one of the most notorious outlaws of almost a century ago, frequently dodged the law in this very country.

In frontier days, this was wild and rugged land, and the men who passed through were just as rugged as the land.

Guntown Mountain is an authentic recreation of that fascinating era. The town itself is complete down to the last detail offering Jesse James Museum of Gunfighters; Saloon Show; Music; Magic; and Gunfights.

Moreover, the mountain is the highest point in the Mammoth Cave area, and the view is spectacular. When you come to Mammoth Cave, ride the scenic chairlift to the top of Guntown Mountain and step back into history.
