Rail District

All Aboard!!!

Downtown Cave City is more than just another road to travel down. It's home to the historic Commercial District along Broadway that was the center of our town's growth in the late 19th century, which was driven by the arrival of the Louisville & Nashville Railroad. Cave City itself was a planned community, established around the time the railroad arrived in 1859, and its subsequent growth was intrinsically linked to the railroad line. In 1983, the district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Now re-branded as The Rail District, downtown is thriving once again and beaming with life. The Rail District is the current home to fresh businesses such as Asha Yoga, The Flower Cave, Ace Coffee, Pourter's Pub, Cave City Pizza, Twisted Scissors Salon, Electric Tattoo Co, One More Chapter Bookstore, The Cave City Dream House, Hippie Joe's, and the first Distillery to ever open its doors in Cave City, Dueling Grounds Distillery. Right next door you'll find the recently opened MB Roland Distillery-Cave Du Bourbon. Two bars - The Dive & The Roxglass. Along with Paul's Antiques, which keeps our nostalgic spirit alive, we cannot wait for you to visit the Historic Rail District in downtown Cave City!
